About Conference
Despite economics ups and downs in the past few years, Steel and Iron ore industries progressed in production and export. However, based on the statistical reports and despite a 5-10 percent rise in the production of Steel industries in the first 9 months of 1402 in comparison with last year, the export value of these products experienced a 10 percent decline. On the other hand, the prospect of the national use for these products is very limited. To this we should also add the issue of long-term primary resources (Iron ore) and energy and water supply problems. In the area of non-ferrous metals industries like copper, aluminum, lead, zinc, gold, and …, despite having rich national resources and the numerous applications of these non-ferrous elements and their alloys in various industries as well as their high value-added, these industries received less attention than they deserve. Although many of the problems of steel industries involves non-ferrous industries as well.
Having all these points in mind, it is vital to take swift and effective measures and make plans to upgrade the quality of these products, increase the production of value-added products, and improve business interactions with other countries to ensure a gross in quality as well as quantity of all end-products and to jump start the export of both steal and non-ferrous metals products.
Considering the vast evolution of industries with the help of digital technologies and AI, international statistics show that from a technical stand point mining industries present 30-40 percent less gross in comparison to other industries. Traditional mining is now considered to be an outdated approach; therefore, as in other industries, mining industries also have an opportunity to create value-added products using new technologies. Mining industry is at the threshold of a new industrial revolution which will forever change procedures, market, and values.
To this end, in light of the success of “The Comprehensive Event of Mining and Mining Industries” in May 2023 for 4 days which included the “13th Iranian Steel and Iron Ore Market Conference and Expo” and the “5th Iran Non-ferrous Metals Industries Market and Related Technologies Conference and Expo”, and the favorable general feed-back about the rich and practical results of joining these two events; Donya-e-Egtesad Media Group (DEN) -as a business accelerator via professional networking- decided to uphold this event (The Comprehensive Event of Mines and Mining Industries) for a second term in May 2024 and this time for 5 days including the “14th Iranian Steel and Iron Ore Market Conference and Expo”, the “6th Iran Non-ferrous Metals Industries Market and Related Technologies Conference and Expo” as well as the “3rd Digital Mining Conference and Expo” with the participation of decision makers, experts, and economic participants in these areas. Respective participants are invited to take part in this comprehensive event and enjoy the benefit of lively discussions and first-hand news about the challenges and the opportunities as well as the latest developments in these areas accompanied by visiting the expo. The purpose of this event is to create a valuable opportunity to exchange information and knowledge between the real operators in mining and mining industries including the government, the private sector, and all the national and international special organizations.
We hope for another successful event with the help of all the involved parties.
